Approach

How I work

A client-centred approach: sessions start from what's actually happening for you, not a fixed programme.

A client-centred approach

Every session starts from what's actually happening for you, rather than a fixed script or programme. The aim is to understand what's keeping a difficulty going, build practical coping strategies, and create space for longer-term change, at a pace that feels safe, not one imposed from outside.

What the first session is like

Getting started begins with a short email, then an introductory chat by phone or video. There's no form to complete beforehand and no obligation to continue afterwards. That first conversation covers what's brought you here, how sessions work, confidentiality and its limits, and practical details like fees and scheduling. That's enough for both of us to decide whether it feels like a good fit.

How progress is reviewed

There's no fixed number of sessions decided in advance. Instead, progress is reviewed together as we go, so the pace and length of work stays led by what's actually useful to you rather than a predetermined plan.

If a session feels difficult to start

Not knowing what to say at the start of a session is completely normal, especially early on. There's no expectation of a prepared agenda. Whatever's live for you that day, even if it feels unclear or unfinished, is a perfectly good place to begin.
