Who I work with

I'm a qualified counsellor supporting adults and young people as they navigate life's challenges. I specialise in anxiety, low mood, emotional regulation and personal growth, offering a warm, grounded and client-centred space for exploration and change.

Qualifications & experience

I hold a BSc in Counselling and a Master's degree in Childhood and Youth Wellbeing.

I work with Mind, providing mental health support to people referred through workplace occupational health. This work spans the full range of pressures adults bring with them: stress and burnout, anxiety, low mood, and the effect of difficult circumstances at work and at home.

I also have experience as a school counsellor in mainstream primary and secondary schools in the North East, and in an alternative provision secondary school working with children with a wide range of needs and home circumstances. Across those settings I supported young people with ADHD, autism and difficulties around emotional regulation.

Together these experiences have given me a deep understanding of how environments, experiences and individual needs shape wellbeing.

My approach

I offer a calm, non-judgemental presence and work in a client-centred way. Sessions focus on understanding what's happening for you, building coping strategies and exploring longer-term change at a pace that feels safe.

If you would like a shorter session to start, for clients who find a full hour difficult, or for younger children, 30-minute appointments are available where appropriate.

A warm, grounded and client-centred space for exploration and change.
